Last day!

It has flown by at quite a pace, and its hard to believe its been three weeks since we arrived; but today is our last day.  At 2.30 this afternoon we will be leaving for the airport for our flight at 7pm.  We are scheduled to arrive at Heathrow at 12.40pm tomorrow.  We’ve had a great time, met some wonderful people, and done some amazing things but all good things must come to an end…and I’ve got a new job to start on Monday!! Tiger moths and vineyards…

Yes I did it!  Went up in a Tiger Moth for a 25 minute flight out to Barwon Heads.  It was awesome.  I’ve been fascinated with old aircraft since I was a boy so to take a flight in a bi-plane was amazing.  Bit windy which added to the experience but the time flew and before I knew it I was on terra firma again. After that we headed off to St Regis vineyard and tried some winetasting.  Met the proprietor, Pete Nicol who was a great bloke and his...

Nearly Melbourne…

Today Jo, Mum and myself drove out to Cheltenham, east of Melbourne.  Mum had an old school friend living there.  Jo & I had the best intentions of visiting Melbourne while Mum had a school reunion.  However, time was not on our side given the time it would take to get back to Melbourne.  We were left having a trip to the Factory Outlet down the road where I bought some shirts for work and a new pair of trainers.  Not, in all honesty, the...
